TOSHIBA LAUNCHES 1000 SERIES COMMUNICATION SOFTWARE
Toshiba International Corporation, August 20, 2009 -- Toshiba International Corporation’s Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS) group proudly announces the launch of communication software for its 1000 Series uninterruptible power system. This software is currently available for download free of charge from the Toshiba UPS website at www.toshibaups.com. This new software will be included with all 1000 Series systems manufactured starting September 2009.
This new software is ideal for use in a small office or home office environment as it allows for a single computer to monitor the UPS via a serial port or USB port, not a network connection. This allows for UPS functions such as input/output current, input/output frequency, battery level, and load level to be monitor
Toshiba’s 1000 Series communication software offers user-friendly features and capabilities such as the scheduling of daily, weekly, and/or monthly battery self-tests, startups, and shutdowns. UPS events can be reviewed through the event list and event graph displays. Other user-friendly features include email notification of UPS events like power outages and scheduled shutdowns. Both the serial DB9 connector cable and the USB cable are included; this allows for the software to be used with older and newest computer versions.
